Dr. Feng serves as the Chairman of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, promoting nationwide certification examinations. He is a Clinical Professor at the Oakland-based Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) and the Director of Integrative Medicine at the Highland Hospital’s International Center for Integrative Medicine (ICIM) within the Alameda Health System. Currently, he also works as a staff member of the Integrative Medicine Program at the Berkeley-Alta Bates Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he provides Traditional Chinese Medicine services to cancer patients and teaches Qigong.

Dr. Feng has received recognition for his expertise, being named one of the top 10 acupuncturists in the San Francisco Bay Area by San Francisco Magazine. In 2003, his Taiji program was recognized as the best in the Bay Area by the East Bay Express. He was inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2005 and honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Martial Arts by the Global Family Martial Arts Committee in 2019.

In 1973, Dr. Feng founded his martial arts school, the Martial Arts Gym, where he incorporated elements of Chinese and Japanese martial arts and therapeutic arts into the Wuzhen style system. His school has produced numerous champions in Taiji, Judo, and competitive martial arts at both state and national levels.

In 1976, Dr. Feng established the Daoist Center Zhi Dao Guan, which he permanently relocated to Oakland in 2002. The center’s mission is to integrate the study and practice of healing and martial arts with the teachings of Daoism. The center also provides space for practicing and teaching Judo/Jujitsu, Salsa dancing, rehabilitation massage, and Taiji.
