This Forum was hosted by the Taiji Science Federation (WTJSF), co-hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Hangzhou Normal University and World Taijiquan Website; The Five Branch University, American Association of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture (AACMA), US Collegiate Taiji Federation, US Chinese Women Cultural Organization, California University Silicon Valley, Senior Sports Magazine of China, Wuhun-Taiji Magazine of China participated in the support-organizations; scheduled for December 2021 from 4th to 5th, it will be held simultaneously globally through the online platform. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2021, 8:00am-8:40am, Beijing time. The purpose of the activity: “Leading with science. Linking through culture. Practicing taiji globally. Sharing health and happiness!”
Taijiquan is a treasure of Chinese traditional culture. Its core concept of yin and yang dialectics and harmony between man and nature is the summation of the experience and wisdom of the development of human society for thousands of years. It has been favored by the world because of its practical effects in fitness and health. In recent years, there have been practicing groups of hundreds of millions of people in five continents, 200 countries, and they have used Taiji, a unique form of exercise, to absorb the nourishment of traditional culture and improve physical and mental health. On December 17, 2020, UNESCO officially listed Taijiquan as a world intangible cultural heritage. On January 8, 2021, the International Olympic Committee also officially approved that Chinese Wushu (including Taiji fan) will become the official event of the 4th Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2026. This will provide a new opportunity for the global development of Tai Chi.

Among them, the University of Illinois, Stanford University, California University of Chinese Medicine, International Medical University, Cologne University of Physical Education, Germany, Hangzhou Normal University, Inner Mongolia Normal University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Harbin Sports University, Shandong Sports University, and other universities are academicians, The dean personally participated in the Forum as Keynote speakers. Inheritors of and professional fields are equally authoritative. Not only are the main Taiji ancestor and world champions personally performing, but there are also five “9 Duan” (the highest level of Chinese Martial Arts”) Wushu Taiji and Health Qigong Grandmasters Chen Zhenglei, Zhu Tiancai, Li Deyin, Yu Dinghai, and Shi Aiqiao also participated.

Build an international scientific exchange platform:
Science Forum successfully established an inter-university and faculty exchange platform between international universities, strengthened the academic and scientific research interaction between Chinese and foreign experts and academic leaders, and facilitated the transformation of production, learning, research, and achievements between Chinese and American universities Several cooperation projects in the field have been gradually launched and implemented.
