Professor. Peter M. Wayne first Kino speaker on “The Scientific Theory of Taiji to Promote Human Health”. From the perspective of integrated medicine, he fully affirmed that traditional sports such as Taijiquan and Health Qigong are typical physical and mental exercise modes, and based on the holistic view methodology, he introduced in detail the effects of traditional Chinese sports on improving balance ability, preventing falls, cognitive ability and pain improvement. Evidence-based medicine research results, etc., the content is detailed and exciting. 

Professor Gloria Yeh of Harvard Medical School interacted with the guests and shared her scientific research ideas in the field of Taiji scientific research.

Professor Yoshinoro Otsuka from Hokkaido University in Japan shared the health and hypoglycemic effects of water sports combined with hot spring baths. His research method is novel and practical, and the hypoglycemic effect is remarkable. At the same time, he fully affirmed the effects of Taijiquan, Health Qigong and AiChi therapy on improving physical and mental health, and actively advocated the deep integration of traditional sports and hydrotherapy, and boldly explored and practiced in the field of water sports and wellness.

Dr. Shudong Li from the Taiji Science Federation, who is also the founder of the Medical Taiji course at Stanford University, introduced in detail a series of scientific research achievements him participated in at Stanford University, such as “Metabolic Energetics of Qigong Taiji “, fMRI of “Focusing Qi” in a Qigong Taiji Master” and “Taiji Research for Cognitive Health” etc, as well as the setting and development of the Stanford Medical Taiji course, and overview.

In addition, he believes that the mainstream direction of overseas dissemination of traditional sports such as Taijiquan and Health Qigong should focus on fitness and health preservation, so as to adapt to the general trend of healthy development of human society. This is an effective path and method for the global promotion of traditional sports.

Professor Xiaojun Wang from Beijing Sport University shared the origin, theory and methods and scientific research prospects of aquatic Chinese medicine exercise therapy on the theme of “New Exploration and Prospect of Traditional Sports Helping Preventive and Rehabilitation Medicine-Water TCM Exercise Therapy”. For the first time At home and abroad, he has proposed and defined the definition, principles and principles of TCM exercise therapy in water, and constructed a technical system of TCM exercise therapy in water such as balance and coordination, joint and muscle flexibility, muscle strength and endurance, and cardiopulmonary function. Strive to contribute Chinese wisdom to international water sports rehabilitation.
