Grandmaster Deyin Li


Dr. Deying Li is a professor of Renmin University of China. He is a famous martial artist in China. He graduated from Renmin University of China in 1961. He remained at the school to be responsible for martial arts lectures, teaching and research. He has served as chief referee of national and international martial arts competitions for many times. In 1990, he served as the Tai Chi coach of the National Wushu Team. He won the gold medal in the male and female Tai Chi events of the 11th Asian Games, and directed large-scale Tai Chi performances in China and Japan at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games.

He has participated in the compilation and approval of nationally prescribed textbooks such as “48-style Taijiquan”, “42-style Taijiquan Competition Routines”, and “Taiji Sword Competition Routines”. Invited to give lectures in Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland, Sweden and other countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Retired in 1999. In 2001, he was invited to be a famous tutor at the first World Tai Chi Health Conference held in Sanya, Hainan.

Long-term commitment to the research and promotion of Taijiquan has played an important role and has extensive social influence and a high international reputation. He has won the titles of “Top 100 Chinese Martial Arts”, “Chinese Martial Arts Rank 9th Duan”, “National Outstanding Referee”, “International Martial Arts Referee” and “National Social Sports Instructor”. He is a professor of Renmin University of China, a member of the Chinese Wushu Association, the vice chairman of the Beijing Wushu Association, and the chairman of the Beijing University Wushu Association.
